Overview
FinalPic analyzes a photo library on the device to help you review it. It does not require a FinalPic account or use a developer CloudKit photo database. FinalPic is a general-audience app and is not directed to children. Brent Gaddis provides FinalPic and is the data controller for the app information described here. Photo information FinalPic handles
With Photos permission, FinalPic can read photo or video content and identifiers, filenames, dates, dimensions, estimated sizes, albums, favorite and edit state, and related library metadata. It uses Apple on-device Vision and related local analysis for similarity, quality signals, text recognition, and QR detection. It caches derived analysis, groups, review choices, scan checkpoints, statistics, and limited deleted-item previews on the device.
Local processing and Apple services
FinalPic’s photo-library analysis is performed on your device. Apple Photos and iCloud Photos may download originals and synchronize edits or deletions under Apple’s terms. StoreKit processes App Store purchases. FinalPic does not upload photo or video contents to Brent Gaddis as part of its analysis.
Permissions
Photos access is required for library analysis and any changes you request. You control that permission through Apple Photos and system settings. FinalPic does not send the photo or video contents it analyzes to a Brent Gaddis server.
Retention, reset, and deletion
Local scan caches and review state remain until replaced, reset through available controls, or removed with the app. A cache or history reset may not remove every Photos item because the library is controlled through Apple Photos. FinalPic requests deletion only after explicit selection and Apple’s confirmation; Apple normally places those items in Recently Deleted and can synchronize the change through iCloud Photos. Copies exported or backed up elsewhere remain outside FinalPic.
Website, support, privacy requests, children, and policy changes
FinalPic’s app-data practices are described above and are separate from its pages on brentgaddis.com. Those pages use first-party aggregate analytics operated through Cloudflare. The site counts page views and allowlisted actions and keeps coarse source, country, device, browser, operating-system, engagement, performance, and reliability totals. It does not store raw analytics events, visitor or session identities, raw or hashed IP addresses, cookie or local-storage visitor IDs, full user agents, full referrers or URLs, form contents, arbitrary text, or a person’s raw click history. Country and source cells below five are suppressed, and aggregates are retained for up to 24 months. Cloudflare still processes request and network metadata to deliver and protect the site. If you contact support, the website, Cloudflare Turnstile, Cloudflare’s delivery services, and the email provider process the app selection, request type, reply email, subject, message, security signals, and delivery metadata you submit. Form contents are delivered to Brent’s monitored mailbox and are not written to website analytics or a website message database. Support email is retained only as reasonably needed to respond, maintain security and support records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations, then deleted or de-identified when no longer needed. Do not submit passwords, recovery keys, government identifiers, payment-card data, or unrelated sensitive content. The website does not use cross-site behavioral advertising or sell or share personal information for that purpose, so browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change its behavior. FinalPic is offered to a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If Brent learns that a child supplied personal information through a developer-controlled channel without required consent, he will take reasonable steps to delete it. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide access, correction, deletion, or appeal rights; use the privacy-request form or email support@brentgaddis.com. Identity may be verified, and requests will be handled as applicable law requires. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date, with additional notice or consent when required.
Analysis records and deleted-history previews
FinalPic can store Photos asset identifiers, analysis and review groupings, scores, preferences, pending-deletion records, a lifetime usage ledger, and recognizable reduced previews of deleted-history items in Application Support. Those previews can be as large as about 2400 pixels, have no fixed automatic retention, are not separately app-encrypted, and cannot restore the original. Clear deleted history/previews and related counters in Settings when no longer needed; reset learned preferences separately. Clearing review history does not reset the lifetime usage ledger. Uninstalling removes app-local data but not Photos, iCloud Photos, optimized copies, or exported/shared files.
Photos, iCloud originals, deletion, and purchases
FinalPic reads only Photos content you authorize and can ask Apple Photos to download iCloud originals for analysis. Analysis uses on-device Vision, Core Image, ImageIO, and related Apple frameworks; it does not identify faces, and text or QR results used during analysis are not kept as a separate developer profile. A confirmed deletion uses Apple’s Photos flow and normally moves items to Recently Deleted, with iCloud Photos propagation governed by Apple. Optimization can create new transcoded assets and optionally move originals to Recently Deleted; reported savings are estimates. StoreKit processes the optional lifetime purchase for versions that offer it, and Brent does not receive full payment-card details.
