Traffic capture data
NetLens captures network request and response metadata you choose to inspect, including endpoint, method, status, timing, and selected response detail. If you enable deep inspection, more technical fields can be shown in-session and saved for export. The app can also collect JS console logs and exception context from pages you run in its debug flow.
Local processing and diagnostics
NetLens processes traffic analysis on your device. Any summaries, captured entries, and exports are created by the app and remain local by default unless you intentionally export or share them. NetLens does not require an app account, and does not sync traffic logs to a developer-operated database.
Permissions and access points
NetLens supports local app/network debugging workflows and requires the permissions needed for your diagnostic target and test flow. It can show HTTPS and HTTP metadata for supported sessions and may include JavaScript console output for pages you interact with. You control which sessions are active and which endpoints are included in your inspection list.
Retention and deletion
Locally stored capture entries remain until you clear them, remove the app, or restart workflows that overwrite the local session cache. Exported reports are stored outside NetLens when created and shared. Remove any exported files separately if you no longer want them available outside the app. Deleting data in NetLens does not remove files already copied to other apps or folders.
Website analytics
NetLens's page on brentgaddis.com uses first-party, aggregate website analytics operated through Cloudflare. The site counts page views and allowlisted actions such as opening an App Store, support, or privacy link; it also keeps coarse source, country, device, browser, operating-system, engagement, performance, and reliability totals. It does not store raw event rows, visitor or session identities, IP or hashed-IP identifiers, cookie or local-storage visitor IDs, full user agents, full referrers or URLs, form contents, arbitrary text, or a person's raw click history. Country and source cells below five are suppressed, and aggregates are retained for up to 24 months. Cloudflare still processes request and network metadata as necessary to deliver and protect the site. These website measurements are separate from the app.
