Overview
RouteMint stores mileage and reimbursement records you enter, with optional Apple identity and iCloud key-value sync. It does not use GPS or connect to banks. Current trip summaries are created on your device from the records you enter. RouteMint is a general-audience app and is not directed to children. Trip and business information
RouteMint can store trip dates, manually entered start and end text, purpose, notes, miles, rate, amount, category, client and project, status, vehicles, odometer values, reimbursement settings, and related preferences. It does not use GPS or request continuous or precise device location. PDF and CSV exports contain the records you choose.
Local records, Apple identity, and snapshot sync
RouteMint stores trips, odometer and vehicle details, business settings, rates, reimbursement status, client/project fields, purpose, notes, and preferences in one local JSON snapshot without separate app-level encryption. It does not request GPS or device location. Optional Sign in with Apple can store Apple’s stable identifier and an optional name or relay email in that snapshot. Optional sync places the whole snapshot in Apple’s iCloud key-value service, not a RouteMint developer server or CloudKit database. Newest-snapshot-wins behavior can overwrite concurrent edits. Apple processes identity, iCloud, and App Store data under its terms.
On-device summaries
RouteMint creates current summaries on your device from the mileage, reimbursement, and trip details you enter. Trip text is not sent to a developer-operated server to create those summaries. Always review suggested text and calculations before relying on or sharing them.
Retention, deletion, and export
Records remain locally and, when enabled, in the iCloud snapshot until you delete them or use the app’s data-deletion controls. Those controls remove local and iCloud app data, although Apple synchronization and deletion can take time. PDF and CSV files already exported remain wherever you saved or shared them and must be removed separately.
Website, support, privacy requests, children, and policy changes
RouteMint’s app-data practices are described above and are separate from its pages on brentgaddis.com. Those pages use first-party aggregate analytics operated through Cloudflare. The site counts page views and allowlisted actions and keeps coarse source, country, device, browser, operating-system, engagement, performance, and reliability totals. It does not store raw analytics events, visitor or session identities, raw or hashed IP addresses, cookie or local-storage visitor IDs, full user agents, full referrers or URLs, form contents, arbitrary text, or a person’s raw click history. Country and source cells below five are suppressed, and aggregates are retained for up to 24 months. Cloudflare still processes request and network metadata to deliver and protect the site. If you contact support, the website, Cloudflare Turnstile, Cloudflare’s delivery services, and the email provider process the app selection, request type, reply email, subject, message, security signals, and delivery metadata you submit. Form contents are delivered to Brent’s monitored mailbox and are not written to website analytics or a website message database. Support email is retained only as reasonably needed to respond, maintain security and support records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations, then deleted or de-identified when no longer needed. Do not submit passwords, recovery keys, government identifiers, payment-card data, or unrelated sensitive content. The website does not use cross-site behavioral advertising or sell or share personal information for that purpose, so browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change its behavior. RouteMint is offered to a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If Brent learns that a child supplied personal information through a developer-controlled channel without required consent, he will take reasonable steps to delete it. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide access, correction, deletion, or appeal rights; use the privacy-request form or email support@brentgaddis.com. Identity may be verified, and requests will be handled as applicable law requires. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date, with additional notice or consent when required.
Informational calculations, exports, and deletion
Mileage, reimbursement, tax, and business summaries use the manually entered distance, category, date, and rate. RouteMint does not verify a route, employer policy, tax eligibility, deduction, recordkeeping rule, or legal compliance and provides no tax, accounting, employment, or legal advice. Local insights and note organization use rules-based, on-device features and the records you enter. Trip text is not sent to a developer-operated server to create those insights. CSV and PDF exports can contain sensitive business/travel records and remain at their destinations. Use Settings > Account & Security > Delete Account and All Data, export first, keep iCloud available for propagation, and revoke Sign in with Apple separately if used.
