VirtualCam Pro support
How can I help?
Brent Gaddis provides support for VirtualCam Pro through the monitored gaddisapps@icloud.com address. VirtualCam Pro support covers installation, macOS camera-extension approval, scene and media import, frozen output, conferencing-app selection, supported formats, and removal. Email gaddisapps@icloud.com with the VirtualCam and macOS versions, Mac model, conferencing app, and a redacted screenshot. Do not send private scene media unless necessary and chosen by you.
Common questions
Why does VirtualCam not appear in a conferencing app?
Move VirtualCam Pro to Applications, open it, approve the system camera extension in macOS settings if prompted, and restart the conferencing or streaming app. Then choose VirtualCam as that app's camera. Some apps cache camera lists until they fully quit and reopen.
Why is the virtual camera frozen, blank, or unable to import media?
Keep VirtualCam running with an active scene, confirm the selected media still exists and uses a supported image or video format, and restart both apps. Large or damaged files can fail to decode. Re-import a file if its saved access changed.
What should I know before presenting images, avatars, captions, or video?
You are responsible for rights to the content, accurate captions, and any notice or consent required for meeting participants. Other apps and participants can receive or record the virtual-camera output once you select it. VirtualCam does not control what they retain or share.
